We are the people of Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish, in Brook Park, Ohio, dedicated to following the example of our Lord, Jesus Christ, through the Scriptures and Traditions of the Roman Catholic Church. We gather together to celebrate, to share, and to be nourished by the Eucharist. We promote religious education, spiritual growth and moral values by being faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ. To show our love for God and one another, we live our lives committed to the dignity and salvation of each person, and we live our faith through compassion and service to those in need.

MEN'S SPIRITUA,LITY GROUP
MEN’S SPIRITUALITY GROUP AT MARY QUEEN OF THE APOSTLES Have you ever asked - What does it mean to be a Catholic man? What is authentic masculine spirituality? If so, your answers may have touched on thoughts such as - Men need authentic brotherhood. Families need holy husbands and fathers. The world needs men to witness to Jesus Christ. With these and similar questions and thoughts in mind, a men’s spirituality group (yet unnamed) will begin meeting at Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish on the first and third Saturday of each month commencing in October. Video and discussion presentations will focus on centering our hearts on Jesus to grow in faith and courageously live out the mission God calls us to. For further info contact, Bob Huczel at 216.433.1440 x203. Or better yet, mark your calendar and join us as we begin this Saturday, October 4. The gathering is 9:30–10:45 AM to get us home for our valuable weekend family time.

FRANCIS OF ASSISI: SIGN OF CONTRADICTION From 4PM Media and The Ministry of the Wild Goose comes a breathtaking film on the life of St. Francis of Assisi. A fool according to the standards of the world, St. Francis' life was a sign of contradiction, convicting others of the beauty of Christ and his Gospel.

JEROME | CATHOLIC SAINTS An early Church Father from the 4th century, St. Jerome translated the Bible into Latin with the desire to make Scripture more accessible. St. Jerome is the patron of biblical scholars, translators, and archivists and famously said, "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ."
